The long road ahead

There are stories of deep pain, turmoil and voices that reflect how deep the emotional scars are. As I sit down to write after a long day of sessions, I'm not sure if I can point to the feeling I experience. There is a deep sense of compassion that overwhelms me. And if there was a time when I felt that my heart was brimming with emotion it is now. a strange feeling - surreal like a peak experience. A moment where 'I' disappears and only compassion remains. With tears rolling down my cheek, I know I have a long way to go, the work has just begun.
